I always place a URL into Google and test whether its a malicious website. Google helps me a lot:)

I downloaded and installed HitMan as noted here. I had to run it a few times until it came up clean.

BTW, I downloaded to an uninfected machine and ran it from there. Still had to run a few times before it came up clean.

Actually I downloaded Hitman from another machine (a Mac) and loaded it up on the infected one via USB. Hopefully that'll work, unless Skynet has suddenly become self-aware.

well i have this little nasty virus as well. Many of your symptoms are what I have now. What's worse is that it won't let me run any antispywre, nor will it let me connect to antispyware sites. I can actually get to the Hitmanpro site but it won't let me download. Gives me a timeout error, which is complete BS since I can get onto any other sites that aren't promoting virus protection.

Ug, this virus sucks. If you have any advice, I'm all ears, if not well at least you were able to beat it.

I tried to remove the same hijack with Hitman Pro 3.5 with no success. Can you tell me what I am doing wrong
