I am also moderately hooked on Pinterest and TheFancy - which are pretty similar. TheFancy seems a little more design and unisex focused, but maybe that's just me.
I think with a lot of these things (twitter, pinterest...) it's about what you're searching for. It can be useful and inspiring ... or it can be totally useless and mind numbing. Maybe the key is getting REALLY good at searching for the content you want to see. Anyways, thanks for posting!

Desert island? Have to be Facebook if only because I doubt the weak ties on my Twitter network would actually muster a search party unless there was a photo op at the end. (I kid) I find the majority of my time is spent on Twitter and has frighteningly become a decent source of information and news.

I always place a URL into Google and test whether its a malicious website. Google helps me a lot:)

I downloaded and installed HitMan as noted here. I had to run it a few times until it came up clean.

BTW, I downloaded to an uninfected machine and ran it from there. Still had to run a few times before it came up clean.
